STUDENTS MENTAL HEALTH IN INDIA

Mental health is the one of the important tpoic which hide in our conversations behind the self respect and our social misunderstanding.
It shouldn't done by our society because many people have fear ''If they went to psychiatrist other people judge them and will talk how mentally weak are they''
These is related to adults but when we talk about students specialy teenagers they are going through hormonal changes in these situation they are mentally unstable and they need parents help and proper guidance and counseling by teachers and all other  people nearby them.
In India teenagers suicide is high and reason for it is mental pressure given by parents for studies, if child score good marks in exam and he is second then parents put more pressure on them by asking them questions like  why he/she not First? why they didn't try more? These pressures is play very important role in the depression of their children. Parents generally think that their children are in race where if they left behind then they will failed in the race. These things may be true because due to high population the competition in the species is created these rule of nature but parents should focus they are sending their children to right race is he/she interested in it. One example of it when I'm in the college my friend want to talk admission in arts and his parents forced him and had to take admission in science facility and when I talk him he was very upset and when we talk about our topics related to our syllabus he doesn't have any idea about the syllabus. This things whenever happened parents are literally destroying the future their children.
Education is not only reason for teenagers mental illness but also relationships and breakups are one of the major reason because of nearly 4000 suicide happened in India in 2020. As we discussed earlier these is time hormonal changes in children and are attracted to other person but these attractions may not be last longer when they had any problems with their partner they are broke up and becomes mentally broken and at this situation they can't even talk with their parents and they are not wrong in parent many parents aren't friendly with their children. In these situations they took wrong actions like attempt to suicide and others
Dispersed teen is not able to talk about the his situation therefore parents should ask them why they are sad. Also parents should told about government helpline started for mental health and suicide.
The Government has also enacted the Mental Healthcare Act, 2017, which came into force w.e.f. 29/05/2018. The Act aims at protection and promotion of the rights of persons with mental illness during the delivery of health care in institutions and in the community.

MENTAL AWARENESS MONTH

Mental Health Awareness Month began in the United States in 1949 and was started by the Mental Health America (MHA) organization (then known as the National Association for Mental Health). Each year in mid-March Mental Health America releases a toolkit of materials to guide preparation for outreach activities during Mental Health Awareness Month. During the month of May, MHA, its affiliates, and other organizations interested in mental health conduct a number of activities which are based on a different theme each year.
